Welcome to the Octobots Winter Soccer League 2025, a seven-week program where young players learn, play, and grow through the game.
Our league blends professional coaching, fun competition, and a holistic player-development approach inspired by Paco Seirul·lo’s Structural Training — the methodology behind FC Barcelona’s success.
This winter, your child will experience soccer the Octobots way — intelligent, creative, and joyful.
Program Overview

Ages: 4 – 13 (Coed)
Divisions: Roots • Juniors • Seniors
Location: Stevenson School, Pebble Beach
Divisions
- Roots (4–7): 12:30 – 2:00 PM
- Juniors (7–10): 1:30 – 3:30 PM
- Seniors (10–13): 2:30 – 4:30 PM
Format:
Practice + Scrimmage on the same day — each session combines training and real-game application for a complete soccer experience.
All Levels Welcome
The program is Coed and open to players of all skill levels.
Within each division, players are grouped into Basic and Advanced levels to ensure the right balance of challenge and fun.
- Basic: For newer players developing coordination and confidence.
- Advanced: For experienced players ready to refine tactical and technical skills.
Our Methodology
The Octobots Methodology is based on Paco Seirul·lo’s Structural Training, a scientific and holistic model that views soccer as an interconnection of different human structures — physical, cognitive, coordinative, emotional, and social.
At Octobots, we focus on five key structures:
- Cognitive: Perception, anticipation, and intelligent decision-making.
- Coordinative: Movement, rhythm, balance, and motor creativity.
- Socio-affective: Teamwork, empathy, and emotional connection.
- Creative-expressive: Confidence, imagination, and self-expression.
- Conditional: Physical development integrated naturally through play.
This approach helps children grow as complete players — intelligent, expressive, and capable of adapting to every situation on and off the field.
Coaching Team
Led by Coach Duban Trujillo, founder of Octobots Football Academy, and coach at Stevenson School, Carmel High School, and Santa Cruz United FC, the program is supported by a passionate team of professional and youth coaches.
Our staff creates an environment that is positive, structured, and inspiring, where players are encouraged to think, create, and enjoy the process of learning.

As an official MLS GO partner, the Octobots League connects local families to the spirit of Major League Soccer.
Every participant receives an authentic MLS GO uniform, representing real MLS clubs such as the New York Red Bulls, Colorado Rapids, and more — making each player feel like part of the professional soccer community.

Open to boys and girls ages 4–13, this 8-week Sunday league is all about individual development, not just scores or standings. Kids will train and compete together in a fun, inclusive, and inspiring environment.

Octobots Juniors – Grow, Learn, and Play! Ages 7-10
Our program is designed to help kids develop both physical and mental skills, build confidence on the field, and experience the joy of playing soccer in a fun, supportive environment. Through engaging activities and guided instruction, we aim to foster a lifelong love for the beautiful game while improving coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Soccer Academy 1 Stevenson Students Grades (1-7)20%Off until July 15th

This program is designed to help schools and kids between 1st grade and 8th grade, using the Octobots Methodology. We are not a soccer club, we do not play any leagues, & we do not focus on athletics. We focus on play time, decision-making, building up confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership. We use differential learning in our practices, always looking to have fun.
All children are welcome, with a variety of skill levels from kids who have never kicked a soccer ball to kids who have experience with the beautiful sport.
The head coach of this program is Coach Duban, CEO at Octobots Football Academy, Assistant soccer Coach for Stevenson Varsity team, Coach for middle school soccer and Director of the soccer summer camps at Stevenson School.

Octobots Academic, for kids between 5-12 years old, all skill levels are welcome and is especially designed for kids looking to learn more about the game, no matter the experience playing.

Stevenson Academy 2
Starting August 16th Until October 18th, 2024
Come and enjoy the beautiful Stevenson Soccer field and the Octobots methodology in our Academy 1 group. This is a program for all Stevenson Students in grades between 7th-12th, no matter if the student plays at Varsity level or not, everyone is welcome to come play and have fun.
It is a great experience for new or experienced players. We use STRUCTURED TRAINING and focus on decision making. We are not a traditional soccer class. We mix our ages as part of our methodology.

Stevenson Pizza Party! Monday April 29TH- 5:30 P.M. to 7 P.M. @ Carmel Campus -1st to 8th grade.
This event is for Stevenson Students and families only, and is part of the Spring program. If you are registered in the spring you don’t need to pay this registration. Bring friends and family to practice! Let’s have some fun, playing soccer & eating some pizza at the end.

From Medellin, Colombia, started living in the Monterey Bay area in 2018. Coach Duban is an experienced soccer player, he played for the University of Antioquia, where he was National Champion (ASCUN) in 2015 and Regional champion in different years. He also has experience as a professional Futsal Referee from 2011-2018. His passion for soccer drives him to continue to educate himself.
